The ED8601-8411 EtherCAT Terminal offers a combination of up to twelve signal interfaces and up to nine different signal types with a width of only 12 mm. In addition to the digital inputs and outputs, one analog input and output each are available which can be configured as either a current or voltage signal.

 

Alternatively, the digital inputs with adjustable filter times can be used for 24 V HTL encoders with A/B track including latch and gate function or as up/down counter up to 100 kHz counting frequency. Two digital outputs can be used as PWM signals whose pulse width and frequency can be set in the range from 20 Hz to 25 kHz.

 

Thanks to the large number of configurable combinations, the ED8601-8411 offers a compact solution for applications where only a few complex signals are required – for example, as an ideal complement to the CX7000 Embedded PC.

 

Due to the limited number of terminal points, not all signals can be used at the same time. Parameterization is conveniently carried out via TwinCAT using the “Modules/Slots” procedure.
