The ED7211-0010 servomotor EtherCAT Terminal offers high servo performance in a very compact design for motors in the AM8100 series up to 4.5 A (lrms). The integrated One Cable Technology (OCT) combines a motor cable and an absolute feedback system in a single cable. The electronic nameplate of the AM81xx motors is read automatically, which means that the motor parameters are configured automatically. This significantly reduces wiring work and simplifies commissioning.

 

The fast control technology, based on field-orientated current and PI speed control, enables dynamic and precise positioning tasks. Comprehensive monitoring functions (over/undervoltage, overcurrent, temperature, motor utilization via I²T model) ensure a high level of operational reliability. EtherCAT, as a high-performance system communication, and CAN over EtherCAT (CoE), as the application layer, enable ideal integration into PC-based control technology. The latest power semiconductors minimize power loss and allow power to be fed back into the DC link in braking mode. 16 LEDs signal status, warning, and error messages as well as active limitations.

The ED-series EtherCAT Terminals have push-in connection technology which makes wiring easy and tool-free.
