The ED3362 analog input terminal enables the direct connection of two independent resistance bridges (strain gauges – SG) or load cells using the 4-wire or 6-wire connection technique. It records the ratio of the bridge voltages UBridge to the measured supply voltage USense and outputs the calculated load values as process values based on the terminal settings. This enables precise recording of weights, torques, and vibrations.
In addition, the terminal has two digital inputs/outputs. For example, an input can be used to trigger a tare function, while an output can be switched based on local evaluations in the terminal, e.g., depending on the measured value of the resistance bridge.
Special features:
- integrated, switchable 5 V/10 V bridge supply UExc, generated from the power contacts
- parallel connection of bridges possible due to powerful bridge supply
- sampling rate of 10 ksps
- two additional digital inputs/outputs for local trigger conditions
The ED-series EtherCAT Terminals have push-in connection technology which makes wiring easy and tool-free.
