The ED3274 analog input terminal enables the measurement of temperatures with resistance thermometers (RTD) or thermocouples (TC) on four channels. Each channel can be configured individually, allowing for mixed operation of RTD and TC. The measured values can be output as resistance or voltage values or converted directly into a temperature. All common sensor types are supported.
For temperature measurement with resistance thermometers, sensors in a 2, 3, or 4-wire system can be connected. A cold junction compensation is integrated in the terminal for temperature measurement with thermocouples. This internal measurement can be switched off so that an external cold junction can be used.
The ED-series EtherCAT Terminals have push-in connection technology which makes wiring easy and tool-free.
