To match the scalable industrial PC portfolio, Beckhoff Next multi-touch Control Panels offer a large choice of display sizes as well as installation and connection options.
The CP49xx-0020 and CP59xx-0020 remote operating units are connected to the industrial PC via USB and DisplayPort, allowing them to be placed up to 15 meters apart (5 meters or more with an active cable).
The CP-Link 5 technology allows the distance between the control panel and industrial PC to be increased to up to 100 meters. In addition to the long transmission distance, the technology also offers the advantage of reduced cabling work. There is a choice of two variants:
- As a single-cable solution, CP-Link 5 – the one-cable display link – makes it possible to transmit not only the power supply but also the video signal and USB 2.0 (high speed) in a single Cat.6A cable. In addition, CP-Link 5 transmits EtherCAT for CP59xx-003x devices with push-button extension.
- CP-Link 5 − the two-cable display link – makes it possible to integrate the transmission electronics directly in the industrial PC. Alternatively, an external CU88xx transmitter box can be used. The two-cable solution transmits the video signal and USB 2.0 (high speed) in one Cat.6A cable. Power is supplied via a connector.
There are two choices on the CP49xx-003x and CP59xx-003x receiver side: two-cable display link and one-cable display link. The CP-Link 5 technology is supported by the Next multi-touch Control Panel series CP49xx-003x for installation in control cabinet panels and CP59xx-003x for mounting arm installation.
In addition to DisplayPort and USB signals, power can also be supplied with CP-Link 5. The CU8806 transmitter box is used on the transmit side. It is supplied with voltage and the USB and DisplayPort signals, and can be connected directly to the control panel via a Cat.6A cable. If EtherCAT needs to be transmitted for CP59xx-003x devices with push-button extension, a CU8807 is used.
The CP49xx-003x and CP59xx-003x Next multi-touch panels feature built-in receiver electronics.
Both DisplayPort and USB signals can be transmitted with CP-Link 5 via one Cat.6A cable. The CU8804 transmitter box, which is connected to any industrial PC via USB and DisplayPort, can be used on the transmit side. If EtherCAT needs to be transmitted for CP59xx-003x devices with push-button extension, a CU8805 is used.
Alternatively, the C9900-E342 transmitter module can be integrated directly into a 6032-00xx industrial PC, resulting in an even smaller footprint. If EtherCAT needs to be transmitted for CP59xx-003x devices with push-button extension, the C9900-E3xx transmitter module is used.
The CP49xx-003x and CP59xx-003x Next multi-touch panels feature integrated receiver electronics and can be operated up to 100 m away from the industrial PC.
