Customer Service Engineer

Beckhoff offers advanced automation systems based on PC-based control technology. The product range covers primarily Industrial PCs, fieldbus components, drive technology, automation software, control cabinet-free automation, and hardware for machine vision. Components and system solutions from Beckhoff are used in a wide range of sectors and applications worldwide. The central divisions of Beckhoff, such as development, production, administration, sales, marketing, support, and service, are located at the Beckhoff headquarters in Verl, Germany. Through worldwide cooperation with partners, Beckhoff is represented in more than 75 countries. We are expanding in Malaysia. For this challenging task, we are looking for suitable candidates to join our team in Malaysia.

• provide support to customer in all products and perform troubleshoot on all field inquiries to ensure optimal levels of customer satisfaction and customer service
• practical support and solution-oriented consulting for Beckhoff customers by remote maintenance and on site. Resolving customer issues in a timely manner to keep downtime to a minimum
• support for our customers with hardware and software issues in the following languages: C++, Visual Basic, IEC 61131-3 on PC-based platforms
• monitor all assign cases for customer support and update all activities on company tracking system
• manage all customer issues and if required escalate it to required departments
• develop and disseminate product technical user documentation
• handling of detailed technical questions in cooperation with product management and development
• maintain accurate customer documents and prepare reports for all issues and resolutions
• develop machine programs according to customer specifications in the following languages: C++, Visual Basic, IEC 61131-3 on PC-based platforms
• offering standard and custom training to support Beckhoff products and customer solution
• documentation and recording of all service, support, and project activities
• programming support for our customers’ applications in high-level languages (C#, C++, .NET, Visual Basic) on a PC-based platform
• approximately 70% of traveling

• bachelor’s degree in industrial Automation/Electronics & Electrical Engineering (or IT)
• profound knowledge of PC-technology, fieldbus systems, software
• 0 - 3 years of experience in industrial automation system integration
• fresh graduates are encouraging to apply
• knowledge of IEC 61131-3 programming languages is a plus
• knowledge of object-oriented extensions, C#, C++, etc. Python; objective C-Programming knowledge is a plus
• knowledge of electrical schematics is a plus
• customer- and service-oriented thinking and working methods
• ability to work in a team and strong communication skills
• understanding of PLCs, motion controllers, robotics, distributed I/O, fieldbus systems (EtherCAT) and HMI technologies
• strong analytical and reasoning skills to collaborate in a fast-paced, action-oriented team
• ability to work in a high stress environment while maintaining professionalism
• excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to present to customers, companywide, and/or departmental meetings in English
• ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multi-task, and work cross-functionally
