Application and Sales Engineer (m/f/x)

Beckhoff implements open automation systems using proven PC-based control technology. The main areas that the product range covers are industrial PCs, I/O and fieldbus components, drive technology, automation software, control cabinet-free automation, and hardware for machine vision.

We are actively expanding our team in Hosur and are looking for a suitable on-site application and sales engineer.

• develop machine programs according to customer specifications.
• offer standard and custom training to support Beckhoff products and projects
• documentation and recording of all project activity
• represent the organization in a professional, ethical, and socially responsible manner
• maintain a high degree of technical knowledge as required to fulfill the task remit
• evaluate territory performance and identify new business opportunities
• develop sales with OEM and end user customer accounts using appropriate product solutions
• successfully build relationships with current customer base and provide necessary sales support
• prepare and present bids and quotations to customers using company price and delivery guidelines while using sound business judgment
• advise customers on the proper selection, use, and maintenance of specific technology applications, and recommend training opportunities offered by Beckhoff
• educate new and existing customers on Beckhoff technology
• follow up on all marketing leads and provide feedback
• plan promotional events, presentations, and special projects, as assigned by the manager
• work with regional and corporate resources to develop and close on opportunities

• B.E./B.Tech. (E&TC, electronics, instrumentation, mechatronics)
• 2 to 5 years of experience
• understanding of PLCs, motion, drives, industrial PCs, distributed I/O, and HMI technology
• experience with IEC 61131-3 programming languages, including object oriented extensions
• experience with Windows, Windows Networking, and Microsoft Office applications
• a highly motivated self-starter with good organizational skills
• ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multi-task, and work across a range of sectors
• a team player mentality that can also work independently
• ability to lift and transport demo equipment and hardware
• strong analytical and reasoning skills to collaborate in a fast-paced, action-oriented team
• previous technical training and/or Beckhoff Automation programming experience
• strong interpersonal, listening, questioning, presentation, and communication skills (written and oral)
