ELX1052

ELX2008
The ELX2008 digital output terminal enables the direct connection of intrinsically safe actuators located in hazardous areas classified Zone 0/20 or 1/21. The ELX2008 supplies an output voltage of 24 V DC and a maximum output current of 30 mA per channel. The signal state of each channel is indicated by a light emitting diode.

ELX2792
The ELX2792 output terminal has two relays, each with a changeover contact, which can be used universally to switch intrinsically safe consumers up to 0/20. These could be, for example, solenoid valves, contactors or optical/acoustic signal devices. The ELX2792 features potential-free contacts. The signal state of each individual channel is displayed by an LED. EtherCAT Terminals from the ELX series must always be operated in conjunction with the ELX9560 power feed terminal, which generates an electrically isolated output voltage (24 V EX) from the input voltage (24 V DC) to supply the downstream ELX terminals. If a renewed feed-in should be necessary, the combination of an ELX9410 and an ELX9560 can be used so that further ELX terminals can be connected inline. The ELX terminal segment must be terminated with an ELX9012 or two ELX9410.

A stabilized power supply via power contacts of the ELX9560 power supply terminal and the ratiometric measurement of the input voltage offer the preconditions for precise measurement. Potentiometers from 300 Ω to 40 kΩ can be connected to the inputs and the maximum resistance value of the used potentiometer can be stored in the terminal.

The ratio between the bridge voltage UD and the supply voltage UREF is determined in 24-bit resolution, and the load value is calculated as a process value. Apart from automatic self-calibration (can be deactivated), additional functions such as Tara and Freeze as well as dynamic filters are integrated. The ELX3351 is therefore functionally comparable to the EL3356.

ELX3351-0090

ELX5151
The ELX5151 EtherCAT Terminal allows the direct connection of an intrinsically safe incremental encoder from Zone 0/20 and 1/21 hazardous areas. The terminal supplies the encoder with 8.2 V DC and evaluates a diagnostic-capable NAMUR signal according to IEC 60947-5-6. In this way, a wire breakage or short circuit can be detected in addition to the switching state. The ELX5151 can also be used as an up/down counter and allows switching between 16- and 32-bit counting.

ELX5151-0090
The ELX5151-0090 EtherCAT Terminal allows the direct connection of an intrinsically safe incremental encoder from Zone 0/20 and 1/21 hazardous areas. The terminal supplies the encoder with 8.2 V DC and evaluates a diagnostic-capable NAMUR signal according to IEC 60947-5-6. The ELX5151-0090 can also be used as an up/down counter and allows switching between 16- and 32-bit counting.

ELX9012
The ELX9012 is used to terminate a ELX terminal segment and covers the power contacts according to IEC 60079-11, in addition to the E-bus contacts. It is color-matched to the ELX terminal series.

ELX9410
The ELX9410 power supply terminal is used to refresh the E-bus. Data is exchanged between EtherCAT Coupler and EtherCAT Terminals over the E-bus. Each terminal draws a certain amount of current from the E-bus (see “current consumption E-bus” in the technical data). This current is fed into the E-bus by the corresponding coupler’s power supply unit. In configurations with a large number of ELX terminals it is possible to use the ELX9410 in order to increase the E-bus power supply to 1 A. The ELX9410 has a diagnostics function, which is indicated by LEDs and on the process image.
