Social Media Specialist (f/m/x) – Remote

Beckhoff implements open automation systems using proven PC-based control technology. The main areas that the product range covers are industrial PCs, I/O and fieldbus components, drive technology, automation software, control cabinet-free automation, and hardware for machine vision.

• develop engaging social media posts with a purpose
• develop and engage with follower networks using organic and paid/sponsored content
• review available analytics to gauge the effectiveness of social media campaigns and strategic planning
• support ongoing lead generation efforts via social media
• maintain social listening and monitoring and engage in mutually beneficial interactions with the B2B social media profiles of Beckhoff customers, industry influencers, subject matter experts and trade media outlets to drive and enhance engagement
• work closely with the Senior Content Specialist to help develop high-value B2B content

• Marketing or Communications Degree and/or equivalent education and experience
• minimum of 2 years of post-graduate experience working in a social media capacity in a corporate or agency setting
• excellent writing, communication and content development skills
• strategic, results-oriented approach to copywriting and social media
• demonstrated experience and success completing projects in the areas of social media, content marketing and related fields
• high proficiency and B2B or B2C experience with Hootsuite, LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and YouTube
• high proficiency with Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
• willingness to travel on occasion for work purposes, nationally and internationally, if required [Social Media Specialist position will only require business travel time of approximately 5% in a typical calendar year]
• infrequent but possible business travel and work over weekends for business meetings, trade shows and other events when necessary
