Beckhoff implements open automation systems using proven PC-based control technology. The main areas that the product range covers are industrial PCs, I/O and fieldbus components, drive technology, automation software, control cabinet-free automation, and hardware for machine vision.

Responsibilities

  • assisting in the execution of events, including pre-show logistics, on-site support and post-show wrap-up
  • serving as liaison with sales staff and vendors on time critical event projects and tasks
  • preparing for upcoming events by handling contracts, order forms for services and collaborating on project work with outside vendors
  • managing leads and electronic contacts, including database management and processing of electronic and paper leads
  • managing attendee RSVP lists for Beckhoff colleagues and customers while working in conjunction with outside sales and customer service staff
  • ensuring the smooth delivery of marketing shipments to events and providing assistance with operations and logistics from Beckhoff offices and on-site at events
  • handling and logistics for package shipments, registration lists, marketing materials, promotional giveaways, branded apparel, nametags, notebooks, etc., as needed
  • handling hotel room block management for Beckhoff colleagues and customers

Qualifications

  • minimum 4-year degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field
  • minimum 2 to 4 years’ experience in trade show coordination and onsite logistics management for commercial events
  • experience working directly with event staff, hotel staff and catering companies in corporate event contexts
  • excellent writing and communication skills
  • demonstrated experience and success in completing projects in the areas of: trade shows, seminars, conferences, sales meetings, corporate receptions, etc.
  • high proficiency with Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, Power Point, Excel)
  • experience and success working for clients/companies in the automation, manufacturing, machine building or other high technology industries are strongly preferred
  • willingness to travel nationally and internationally (business trips can average 5 – 6 days each)
  • occasional business travel and work over some weekend’s events when necessary
  • experience in handling day to day tasks related to ordering, stocking, and shipping branded promotional items is preferred
  • ability to lift up to 25 pounds during the preparation of events
  • willingness to regularly handle work duties and tasks in convention center and warehouse environments as needed
